Gay marriage supporters have supposedly secured the votes needed to pass a measure through both houses. INTERRRESSTTTINGGG.

Well, well, well it looks like men are starting to get in on the Botox action!  We all know The Real Housewives are into, but it seems that more and more non-famous MEN are turning to the needle to help preserve their fountain of youth.

That’s right, gents!  Cult film icon John Waters wants you to have sex…in a voting booth…kind of.

Waters has teamed up with Milkcrate’s Aaron LaCrate to design a campaign button t-shirt that promotes have sex in a voting booth.  That’s a way to encourage 2012 voting I suppose.

The shirts are $35 each and you can find them in multiple online stores by Googling “John Waters Voting Shirts.”

Latrice Royale from Miami is the second plus-sized contender reppin large and in charge drag queens on RuPaul’s Drag Race!  

The show debuted in 2009 and each season features 13 drag divas who are tested through a series of tasks to find out who really is the baddest drag bitch.  The ladies are graded on talent, uniqueness and nerve.

Each week, the contestants are judged based on a challenge and the bottom two are put up in a lip-sync for their lives where they basically duke it out.  Latrice must be thrilled and we are even more thrilled for her. She is really putting the Miami and Wilton Manors areas on the map!

Thirty million people have died from HIV since it was first discovered some 30 million years ago.  After years of progress in holding back the disease there is a reported case of an alleged successful cure.

Timothy Ray Brown, 45, tested positive for the disease in 1995 and this year has been entered in scientific journals as the first man in world history to have HIV eliminated from his body.

In 2007, Brown was living in Berlin, Germany dealing not only with HIV but leukemia as well.  Doctors gave him a bone marrow, stem cell transplant that had astounding results.

“The Berlin Patient,” as Brown is called, received stem cells from a donor who was immune to HIV.  Contrary to popular belief, one percent of Caucasians are actually immune to the virus.  It is believed that this immunity stems from those that survived the Great Plague.

Today, Brown is being closely monitored by doctors at San Francisco General Hospital where doctors sought out a medical opinion from one of the most repsected AIDS researchers in the world, Dr. Jay Levy, who originally co-discovered the HIV virus.

Experts say that while Brown’s procedure may not be applicable to many other people due to the difficulty in doing stem cell transplants and finding the right donor, it does open the door to the field of cure research.

The number of serious crimes in Wilton Manors occurring within the first half of the year was down almost 6% from last year, according to The Florida Department of Law Enforcement.

“Serious crimes” include the report of murder, forcible rape, robbery, aggravated assault, larceny and motor vehicle theft.  From January through June 2011, a total of 317 crimes were reported in Wilton Manors, compared with 335 from the year before.

The numbers are as follows:

Murder: 0 in 2011; 2 in 2010;

Forcible rape: 0 in 2011; 0 in 2010;

Robbery: 18 in 2011; 16 in 2010;

Aggravated Assault: 12 in 2011; 10 in 2010;

Burglary: 63 in 2011; 77 in 2010;

Larceny: 215 in 2011; 211 in 2010;

Motor Vehicle theft: 9 in 2011; 19 in 2010;

Overall, the state of Florida’s crime rate dropped by about 2 percent.

Chris Myers, NJ GOP Mayor, is denying that the photos of a man in glasses in his undies on a bed are of him.  The photos also happen to include Myers’ IDs and his cell phone number.  Wait…what?!

Ok, the pics first appeared on a website that a rentboy started after the married father of two reneged on a promise to buy him a car.  Hmmmmmmm…The rentboy eventually contacted news organizations.  Of course Myers is playing the DENY DENY DENY game.

Now it’s important to note that Myers is a republican, but didn’t really have a gay marriage platform.  With that said, I’m sure this isn’t the last we’re going to hear of this story.

Researchers have established a link between oral sex and throat cancer.  That’s right, boys!  Listen up closely.

Many people, especially teens and young adults, feel that by engaging in oral sex they are taking less risks than actually engaging in intercourse.  Aside from the list of STDS that is associated with oral sex (herpes, gonorrhea and HIV) throat cancer is also something that needs to be taken into consideration.

Since throat cancer is so rare among people that don’t drink or smoke the symptoms can be easily dismissed and ignored which leads to a delay in diagnosis and treatment.

Researchers have concluded that people with six or more partners were nearly nine times more likely to develop cancer and it made no difference if the partners were male or female.

Soon after the opening of a new Chik-fil-A restaurant in Hollywood, the restaurant was met with protests over the chain’s alleged ties to anti-gay extremists.

Thirty people gathered Saturday at the new Hollywood restaurant located on Sunset Boulevard near the Los Angeles tourist district, to show their disapproval with the Georgia-based fast food restaurant.

The protesters accuse Chik-fil-A of donating money and food to Focus on the Family and other Christian groups that work against LGBT rights.  A spokesperson for Chik-fil-A says that although they are a Christian company, they do not discriminate against anyone.
