It Gets Better Comes To MTV

The “It Gets Better” campaign has produced an hour-long special that will air on MTV. The campaign was launched by Dan Savage in 2010 as a response to antigay bullying and teen suicide.

The special will feature celebrities like Zachary Quinto, Jake Shears, Chaz Bono, Margaret Cho, Sia and Adam Levine. It will follow three young people as they struggle with LGBT issues and will premiere simultaneously on Logo (February 21).

Gay marriage supporters have supposedly secured the votes needed to pass a measure through both houses. INTERRRESSTTTINGGG.

The shocker comes from the unlikely candidates who are going under the needle. Gay men and straight men alike are receiving Botox. ”Plastic surgeons agree that it is becoming more and more accepted for men to have fillers, and the trend is even helping them beat the recession.”

That’s right, gents! Cult film icon John Waters wants you to have sex…in a voting booth…kind of.

Waters has teamed up with Milkcrate’s Aaron LaCrate to design a campaign button t-shirt that promotes have sex in a voting booth. That’s a way to encourage 2012 voting I suppose.

The shirts are $35 each and you can find them in multiple online stores by Googling “John Waters Voting Shirts.”

Wow, it’s been so long since they started building the joint that I totally forgot about it. Wilton’s Bier Garden & More is a brand new, upscale bar and dining/nightclub experience in Wilton Manors.

Conveniently located on Wilton Drive, The Garden has a huge selection of beer featuring over 100 bottled beers from around the world and 16 drafts on tap. Select wines and champagnes are also available.

The Garden also has a bites menu and features a “good sized patio.” Sounds intriguing to say the least…

SoFlo Drag Queen Gets On Drag Race

Latrice Royale from Miami is the second plus-sized contender reppin large and in charge drag queens on RuPaul’s Drag Race!

The show debuted in 2009 and each season features 13 drag divas who are tested through a series of tasks to find out who really is the baddest drag bitch. The ladies are graded on talent, uniqueness and nerve.

Each week, the contestants are judged based on a challenge and the bottom two are put up in a lip-sync for their lives where they basically duke it out. Latrice must be thrilled and we are even more thrilled for her. She is really putting the Miami and Wilton Manors areas on the map!
